well its seista here in florence italy so i thought i would come down to the internet cafe and check up on things back up in the states while i had the time... there will be alot of typos seeing the keyboard is italian with extra keys like ςΰωη°§£ιθ iΰll start from the very beginning and work my way through the trip so far:

    DAY 1:
we arrived at Amsterdam airport after an overnight flight (which i got no sleep on) at around 10 in the morning. we locked our bags up in the trainstation and went sight seeing around amsterdam. if you donΰt know bicycles are used as commonly as cars as a means of transprotation here...unfortunately we werent aware of how badly the were like driving in new york. we rented bikes and resulted in learning many great new dutch words and some truck hit my mom. then we went to anne franks house which was as good as everybody says. oh wait, right before that we had lunch at this outdoor cafe on a canal. VERY dutch. after the anne frank house we gladly returned the bikes and went to see the red light district. POT WAS EVERYWHERE pretty much every corner in the district was a coffee shop with the catchy names such as high times. and the grasshopper. everyother shop was a porno store. which proudly displayed its merchandise openly in the front windows. and then there where the brothels. it was literally window shopping the hookers would sit behind glass doors and if you liked one you knock on the door and follow them in not surprisingly the majority looked to be over forty and over 170 pounds really nasty. but in the back where the expensive places with the 18 -25 hookers. as we where leaving the district this black guy knocks on this one hookers door and she locks it and says no...man to be turned down by a hooker. then we met up with some family friends for dinner. oh yeah THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF HOLLAND SMOKES. then we got our bags and went to haarlem (a nearby town) for the night. We stayed at Hotel Amadeus which is exactly what youΰd expect from a european lower priced hotel. (it gets dark around 10:30 everynight)

DAY 2: got up around 11 and went out to get the famous dutch pancakes which are just 1 huge cake of fried batter. it wasnt as good as iΰd hoped. Then we walked through a park which followed the canal until the our train which left for germany. All the steroetypes of germans are true. they are exactly precise in everything, the trains always arrive exactly when they say they will and leave within 2 minutes of there arrival. it all being in dutch or german didnt help at one point the intercom said something and eveybody started running. of course we had no clue what was going on but made okay anyway.we pretty much spent the whole day on trains going from this small town to that. until finally we arrived in Bacharach germany, in the Rhine River valley, which is arguably the most beautiful region in all of germany. we got in at about 2200, they only use military time over here...and went to a chinese restuarant. when i asked for the WC they didnt understand but ended up bringing our food REALLY fast. i got sweet and sour chicken but, much to my surprise, they cooked the ENTIRE chicken. everything. guts and all. and i also forgot to ask for water without gas (sparkling water is water with gas) if you dont ask for it specifically they give you club soda.then we went to bed in a small b &b run by a lady named Lette.

DAY 3: Dad got in today. i forgot tomention inthe beginning that when we got to the airport we realized that his passport was expired and we had to go on without him. he got an appointment at the embassy and got in around 11 o clock., once he got there we went out and rented bikes (bacharach is a VERY small german town that has to be at least 1500 years old)we rode bikes along the rhine river, it was alot easier than in amsterdam thank god. had lunch at a german place across from the famous loreley. or as you may know it the Rhinestone. then continued on down to another small town and took the ferry up to to bacharach. we sat next to a couple of american airforce officers who where putting down drinks like there was no tommorrow...that was fun. we got back and ate at this quaint german restuarant where i had italian.

DAY 4: we got up around 9 and left for the trainstation. we trainhopped until we got to Meinz Germany where we had a couple hours layover. so i went to explore the town. it was pretty boring except for the fact that i got some german gummy bears and a watch for 6€ or $7.50 it turns out that the watch is made almost entirely of plastic, but being german it is still running with precision. Got onto another train and arrived in Vienna Austria where they where experiencing a record breaking heat wave...reminded me of houston. We got into the Haydn Hotel where me alex andkaties room had air conditioning (a rarity in europe) my parents did not.we had dinner at...
